| The Shanghai pilot arrives at the ship in his pilot boat. A rope ladder has been extended down the side of the freighter. The pilot boat moves in close enough for the pilot to grasp the ladder, which he then climbs to gain access to the ship. This is conducted with no interruption of motion.
